Three basic management skills

Manager is a person who has the authority to drive the organization into right direction. When driving the organization towards the goals, Managers may face many obstacles in the short and long run. Therefore, the mangers should have a set of effective skills to face these problems effectively. Below are the five basic skill that manager needs to have to run the organization effectively.

What are the managerial skills?

Managerial skills are the knowledge and ability of the individuals in a managerial position to fulfill some specific management activities or task. These knowledge and ability can be developed by having proper learnings and practicing. therefore, managers need to have skill which helps to manage the people and technology to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the work. Below show the Three basic management skills which a manager should have;

·         Technical skill

·         Conceptual skill

·         Human and interpersonal management skill

Technical skill

Manager should have the ability and knowledge about machines and tools. They should have a combination of operation and soft skills knowledge so that the problems can be easily solved. Having good technical skills allow the organization to have better future in every aspect.

 

Conceptual skill

Conceptual skill is an ability to see the big picture of the organization. They should have abstract thinking of the organization future. Because they are the future of the organization. They should have vital vision of  new concepts, new technologies and future challenges. Company CEO and board of directors should have this skill. In other words, they must have good analytical and problem diagnosing knowledge.

Human and interpersonal management skill

Good communication is needed for this skill. Because managers need to attract the people and do the job that they required to do. Working with the people is more important for a manager. This skill needs for all levels in the management hierarchy.
